What’s this? I finished something?! Watch out kids, this must be a sign of the apocalypse. As long as I get to see The Hobbit before the world ends, then it’s all good.

Anywho…

It’s Wizard Howl. He’s quite wicked you know! ;p Been working on this monster off and on between school work for a while now. I didn’t really turn out how I originally planned, but c'est la vie! I’m still pretty happy with the results. This is fan art of the movie, not the book. The book is one of my all-time favorites though and I’ve got some sketches of my interpretation of Howl. I might do something neat-o with them later.

A lot of firsts for me with this piece and I learned a lot. First time coloring with Photoshop (I’m more of a Corel Painter kinda’ gal) and doing a proper background. I’ve got some new-found MAJOR RESPECT for artists who use PS all the time. It takes FOREVER. Also, those fail mountains? Yeah, never again! I hate rocks now. And I forgot how to draw clothes dagnabbit. Never stop drawing, ‘cause then you have to reteach yourself all that junk.

You say the mountains suck? WHY YOU NO UNDERSTAND HOW GREAT THEY LOOK? ^_^ Seriously, I think you did a great job on the mountains AND the stars, AND Howl (he's hot ^_^), AND the castle. Prettiful. :3

oh wooooooowwww between the title and the look on Howl's face this is one amazing depiction! Hats off to you hehehehe.
Great job with the background/castle/star- great fan art keeps all the little nuances in mind.
